Most buyers are emotional and some end up buying a property for the wrong reasons. Don’t buy a property just because the gate is nice or because it is facing East, make sure the property makes real sense to you, that it has what you require and that you like the layout and can see yourself moving around the floor plan and being able to use the space effectively. Never disregard a property that needs repairs like re-painting, re-tiling, re-fitting of cabinetry and etc if it is selling for a good price. The cost to fixing it may actually be lower than buying a showroom property at a higher cost than fixing it up. Do not worry if you do not know anyone who can do the work, the licensed Realtor you are working with may know some architects, interior designers, plumbers and building contractors to do the work for you.
